PROJECT INFORMATION:
The project will allow the City of Casper to provide water service to
the Indian Springs Service and Improvement District, located southwest
of Casper, and will enable the city to better control water pressure and
water quality in the southwest portion of their water system. The water
system improvements include a 1 million gallon storage tank, transmission
mains to and from the tank, and booster station modifications.
These improvements are consistent with the recommendations of the Level
I Natrona County Regional Water Supply Plan.
In 1992, the project agreement, note and mortgage were completed and
executed. The City of Casper contracted with an engineering firm to
provide necessary design and construction management services. Design
has been completed and the construction contract has been awarded. The
tank foundation, pipeline and appurtenances have been constructed.
Construction should be completed in the fall of 1996.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
No legislative action is required on this project.
