PROJECT INFORMATION:
The company serves 15 shareholders, and about 1100 irrigated acres. The
project has consisted of studying the feasibility of repairs needed on
the sponsor's gravity pipeline system. The system was installed in 1961
and is in poor condition. The annual maintenance costs of this system
are now exceeding reasonable levels.
The Level II study found that approximately 500 feet of the pipeline
needs to be replaced. The rest of the system can be regulated through
the repair of existing pressure relief valves and the addition of relief
valves to balance the delivery of the limited supply of water available
to the system. The company must form an irrigation district if it
wishes to pursue Level III funding.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
No legislative action is required on this project.
