 85. PROJECT:Southwest Casper Water Supply
SPONSOR:City of Casper
LOCATION:Natrona County
PROGRAM:New Development
Purpose Chapter Session Account Appropriation Due Date
Level III 28 1992 I $1,000,000* 1996
*67% grant, 33% loan (4%, 20 years)

The project will allow the City of Casper to provide water service to the Indian Springs Service and Improvement District, located southwest of Casper, and will enable the city to better control water pressure and water quality in the southwest portion of their water system. The water system improvements include a 1 million gallon storage tank, transmission mains to and from the tank, and booster station modifications. These improvements are consistent with the recommendations of the Level I Natrona County Regional Water Supply Plan.

In 1992, the project agreement, note and mortgage were completed and executed. The City of Casper contracted with an engineering firm to provide necessary design and construction management services. Construction has been completed. Final inspections and payment of retainage will be made in early 1997.

No legislative action is required on this project.
