1998 LEGISLATIVE REPORT
Project Reports
23. | PROJECT: | Crestview Water Supply | | | | | |
| LEVEL: | New Application |
| SPONSOR: | Crestview Water and Sewer District |
| LOCATION: | Campbell County |
| PROGRAM: | New Development |
PROJECT INFORMATION:
The district lies outside the area that has been determined to be
serviceable from Gillette's system. The district is experiencing growth
and is nearing the capacity of their water supply system. Neighboring
Antelope Valley Improvement and Service District is experiencing similar
conditions. The project would consist of analysis of both Crestview and
Antelope Valley to determine the level of need and to be used in a well
siting analysis. Antelope Valley has the tap installed for the
connection to Crestview. A combined project may enhance the permitting
of the new well. The Level II study will address these issues and
determine the feasibility of expanding the area water supply.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
The WWDC recommends that the project be incorporated into the
Rehabilitation Program at Level II with a proposed appropriation of
$200,000.00.
