 52. PROJECT:Lakeview Improvement and Service District Water Supply
LEVEL:New Application
SPONSOR:Lakeview Improvement and Service District
LOCATION:Natrona County
PROGRAM:New Development

PROJECT INFORMATION:
There are approximately 70 residents living in the Lakeview Improvement and Service District. Potentially there are more than 22 taps in the district. The Lakeview Service and Improvement District was just formed. The residents of the area use poor quality ground water that is high in nitrates, sulfates, and selenium. Most residents haul water from town.

Lakeview Improvement and Service District requested Level II funds to investigate options for connecting to the Natrona County Regional Water System.

A Level II project is proposed to 1) assess options for connection of Lakeview to the Natrona County Regional Water System, 2) assess distribution, storage and booster station options (if needed), 3) investigate distribution system options, 4) prepare preliminary designs and cost estimates for reasonable alternatives, and 5) determine financing options.

RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
The WWDC recommends that the project be incorporated into the New Development Program at Level II with a proposed appropriation of $25,000.00.
