1999 LEGISLATIVE REPORT
Active Projects

 20. PROJECT:Crestview/Antelope Valley Water Supply
LEVEL:II
SPONSOR:Crestview Water and Sewer District
LOCATION:Campbell County
PROGRAM:New Development

EXISTING LEGISLATION:
Purpose Chapter Session Account Appropriation Due Date
Level II 8 1995 II $200,000 2000

PROJECT INFORMATION:
The Crestview and Antelope Valley Water and Sewer Districts are adjacent to each other, and lie outside the area that has been determined to be serviceable from Gillette's system. The districts are experiencing growth and are nearing the capacity of their water supply systems. The project includes analyses of both Crestview and Antelope Valley to determine the level of need, and exploratory well construction. Antelope Valley has a tap installed for connection to Crestview's system. A combined project may provide the most efficient means to enhance the water supply for both districts.

Analyses of each district is complete and an exploratory well location has been selected. Permits are nearly in place, and well construction should begin by early 1999.

RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
No legislative action is required.
