2002 LEGISLATIVE REPORT
Active Projects
03. | PROJECT: | Albin Well and Main Rehab | | | | | |
| LEVEL: | New Application |
| SPONSOR: | Town of Albin |
| LOCATION: | Laramie County |
| PROGRAM: | Rehabilitation |
PROJECT INFORMATION:
The Town of Albin would like to pursue detailed cost analyses of rehabilitation of their municipal
water system. The Town has access to four wells, all of which have individual problems. All of
these wells are piped into the distribution system rather than to the storage tank. This configuration
causes major problems with treatment and system pressures. The transmission pipeline also has
problems with pressure, leakage, and dead end lines. This project would provide a water system
master plan to the town along with design and cost analyses for a replacement well and upgraded
transmission mains.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
The WWDC recommends the project be incorporated into the Rehabilitation Program at Level II
with an appropriation of $160,000.
