2002 LEGISLATIVE REPORT
Active Projects

 85. PROJECT:North Alpine Rehabilitation
LEVEL:New Application
SPONSOR:North Alpine Improvement & Service District
LOCATION:Lincoln
PROGRAM:New Development

PROJECT INFORMATION:
A large portion of the district also known as the Rees Subdivision is serviced by a private water system. The system was designed for indoor culinary use only and does not have sufficient volume or pressure to provide residents with outdoor water use or fire protection. The district would like an engineering study to determine the cost of either replacing or upgrading the existing system to meet current needs. The study would include analysis of connection to the Alpine municipal system. The district does not currently own the system that serves them. However, the district is currently in negotiations to purchase the system from the present owner. This recommendation is contingent upon final purchase of the system by the district.

RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
The WWDC recommends the project be incorporated into the New Development Program at Level II with an appropriation of $60,000.
