2002 LEGISLATIVE REPORT
Active Projects
130. | PROJECT: | Wagner Cherokee Irrigation MP | | | | | |
| LEVEL: | New Application |
| SPONSOR: | Wagner Cherokee Irrigation District
(Forming) |
| LOCATION: | Carbon County |
| PROGRAM: | Rehabilitation |
PROJECT INFORMATION:
The newly forming Wagner Cherokee Irrigation District would like a study done to determine the
feasibility and cost of rehabilitation of their diversion dams and ditch structures. The diversion dams
wash out and have to be replaced each year. The ditch structures are old and falling apart. It will be
more cost effective in the long run to replace these structures rather than fixing them each year.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
The WWDC recommends the project be incorporated into the Rehabilitation Program at Level I with
an appropriation of $40,000.
