PROJECT INFORMATION:
The 2001 Legislature appropriated matching funds to continue the position of Conservation Officer
and transferred the position to the WWDC. This is a program where the Bureau of Reclamation
provides matching funds to promote water conservation in the state, and has been in place for the
past three years. The Bureau of Reclamation funding has recently been re-authorized, and the
contractual arrangements between the WWDC and that agency are in good standing.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
The WWDC recommends the project be incorporated into the New Development Program at Level I
with an appropriation of $100,000.
