PROJECT INFORMATION:
The Town of Albin wants to pursue a detailed cost analyses of rehabilitation of their municipal
water system. The Town has access to four wells, all of which have individual problems. All of
these wells are piped into the distribution system rather than to the storage tank. This
configuration causes major problems with treatment and system pressures. The transmission
pipeline also has problems with pressure, leakage, and dead end lines. This project would
provide a water system master plan to the town, with a replacement well, and plans/cost analysis
for upgraded transmission mains and storage. The project was approved in 2002. The Level I
study is underway.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
No legislative action required.
