PROJECT INFORMATION:
The Targhee Town Water Company, which represents the unincorporated community of Alta, is
seeking a level II test well and a continuing study of their domestic water system. A level I master
plan was completed in October 2002 which recommended a test well to replace one of the two
wells that the Company currently relies on for their potable water supply. The replacement well
would, hopefully, provide the required supplemental supply needed to meet the projected
demands for domestic use as well as a minimum fire flow recommended in the level I study.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
The WWDC recommends the project be incorporated into the Rehabilitation Program at Level II
with an appropriation of $166,000.
