PROJECT INFORMATION:
In a related project, two Madison well field wells have been drilled and
will be placed into operation in 1997. During the design of these two
wells it was determined that the existing electrical distribution system
for the Madison well field is inadequate. The condition will become more
critical once the two new wells are placed on line. The project entails
the installation of new electrical distribution cable, new transformers,
a grounding system, new surge arresters, new switch gear, and new electrical
controls. The installation of the needed electrical equipment will improve
operational efficiency. It will also improve safety of well field
operations. This project is completed with minor work remaining. Project
closeout is anticipated by spring, 1999.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
No legislative action is required.
