2001 LEGISLATIVE REPORT
Active Projects
102. | PROJECT: | Sheridan Raw Water Supply #2 | | | | | |
| LEVEL: | New Application |
| SPONSOR: | City of Sheridan |
| LOCATION: | Sheridan County |
| PROGRAM: | New Development |
PROJECT INFORMATION:
This project would provide funding for the design of the raw water transmission facilities for the
irrigation of the Kendrick Golf Course which is owned and operated by the city of Sheridan. The
current system is in poor condition and is inefficient. The golf course receives its water supply
from the Sheridan Regional Water Supply. These same facilities also deliver water to the Sheridan,
Big Goose, and Veteran's Affairs Medical Center water treatment plants. Rehabilitation of the golf
course irrigation system would provide more usable water for domestic use in the city of Sheridan,
Big Goose, and the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center.
RECOMMENDED LEGISLATIVE ACTION:
The WWDC recommends that the project be advanced to Level III status in the Rehabilitation
Program with an appropriation of $50,000.The financing plan is a 50% grant, $50,000, and a 50%
loan, $50,000, to be secured by the sponsor through other sources.
