2004 Legislative Session Approvals
During the 2004 Legislative Session the WWDC was fairly successful. There were 33 planning project requests approved.
The Small Water Development Projects Program was amended and funding was increased. The changes included adding irrigation as a purpose and increasing the eligible size of the project.
Projects were limited to an estimated cost of $50,000. That limit was raised to $100,000, however, WWDC participation was held at $25,000 maximum. The funding for the program was increased from $1,000,000 to $2,500,000. Funding is split evenly between new development and rehabilitation.
