Wyoming Water Development Commission (WWDC)
The Wyoming Water Development Program was established in 1975 to promote the optimal development of the state's human, industrial, mineral, agricultural, water and recreational resources. In 1979 the WWDC was established to implement the water development program and to conduct water and related resource planning.
Desert Research Institute (DRI): DRI conducts fundamental and applied research in atmospheric processes and air quality issues of regional, national, and international interest. Based in Reno, Nevada, DRI and has been conducting cloud seeding to augment snowfall in mountainous regions that supply water to northern and southern Nevada.
Heritage Environmental Consultants LLC (Heritage): Heritage is based in Denver, Colorado and specializes in environmental impact assessment, threatened and endangered species consultation, and local, state and federal permitting.
Idaho Power Company (IPC): IPC is an electric utility engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution, sale, and purchase of electric energy. IPC's cloud seeding program increases snow accumulation and provides increased generation at the company's hydroelectric facilities. It also benefits winter recreationists, agriculture, fish and other wildlife habitat, aquifer recharge and water quality.
National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) - Research Applications Laboratory (RAL): NCAR is a non-profit research and development center based in Boulder, Colorado sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
North American Weather Consultants, Inc. (NAWC): NAWC, incorporated in 1950, specializes in providing weather modification, air quality services, ambient monitoring, tracer studies, applied meteorological studies, and expert testimony to clients in the U.S.A. and around the world.
TREC Incorporated: TREC Inc., a subsidiary of Woodard & Curran is an integrated engineering, science and operations company that handles a wide range of water and environmental issues.
University of Wyoming (UW), Department of Atmospheric Science (ATSC): ATSC seeks to advance understanding and knowledge of the atmosphere by providing excellent education, research, and service in the atmospheric sciences.
Weather Modification International (WMI): WMI is a privately held company incorporated in 1961 that provides regional, national, and international weather modification equipment and operational services (ground-based and airborne cloud seeding options), cloud microphysical research, and air pollution monitoring. WMI is based in Fargo, North Dakota.
